Design For Crafting Are you tired of the copy cat syndrome? Then, this course is for you and anyone who wants to develop their own original designs for their jewellery, fashion or any other form of crafting. Learn simple design methods to use in making your own unique creations. This course will help develop and improve your design skills. In five evening classes, you will gain hands-on basic techniques of working through an idea till it becomes an extraordinary design. Beginners Class In five evening classes, you will have fun and gain hands-on basic techniques of working with Art Clay through four practical projects, including making a pendant, a ring and earrings. An option to upgrade and make a linking bracelet is also available. The fee includes use of tools, findings, tuition and the silver. At the end of the course you will have four fine silver items, of your own silver creations to proudly show off. All projects are achievable with room for your own personal touch. Design and Make Weekend Residential This exiting course is designed to introduce you to practical designing, coupled with the basics of working with Art Clay so you can bring your designs to life. The all inclusive fee includes 2 nights accommodation, breakfast and lunch, hot drinks during breaks, use of all tools required, tuition, findings (which are all the bits you need to make your items ready to wear) and the silver. No experience required - Full tuition given Please note the first night accommodation will be on the Friday evening so we will have an evening meal and course induction the same evening; ready to start designing the next morning (after breakfast). The course will end 5:30pm on Sunday and you can leave with fine silver jewellery, designed and made by YOU!
Art Clay Level 1 Certificate This certified course will equip students with the basic techniques of working with Art Clay including: ring making, pendants, stone and pearl setting, burnishing, hollow core items, filigree work, firing, and polishing. The course fee includes your very own toolkit, up to 80g of different types of Art Clay Silver, stones, pearls and findings (which is everything you need to complete each item). Your items and tool kit are yours to keep. An introductory workshop, Beginners Course or prior metal clay experience is a minimum requirement. Art Clay Level 2 Certificate This level will equip students with advanced techniques such as classic ring-making, setting semi-precious stones, glass fusing, mirror finishing and more. The fee includes up to 90g of different types of Art Clay, a small toolkit to add to your previous (Level 1) toolkit, natural and artificial stones and the findings required to complete your classic items. Successful completion of Level 1 and a level of competence is required.
The Signature Course This is our very own course designed to equip students with everything needed to design and make professional, pure silver jewellery for business or pleasure. Four modules form The Signature Course: Design Methods/Research and Development Using subject and objects of your own interest, learn to how to develop unique original designs of your very own. Art Clay Level 1 Certificate Learn all the basic techniques of working with Art Clay including: ring making, pendants, stone and pearl setting, burnishing, hollow core items, filigree work, firing, and polishing the silver. Design Execution Put all you have learnt into practice when you make your final designs in pure silver. Final Show Exhibition/Award Ceremony An introductory workshop, Beginners Course or prior metal clay experience is a minimum requirement.
